André Herrlich
Author & Founder San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, PhilippinesAndré is from Dresden and lives in rural Central Luzon, a few hours north of Manila. His day job is in IT: building infrastructure, automating systems, making sure things run. Xalor is the technical side of his handwriting. Everything that works here, he built. What doesn't work, also him.
He was writing long before this. Years ago he ran his own blog project where he published short stories. Science fiction, sometimes erotica, sometimes both, always with the goal of telling a story that keeps going after the last sentence. That project is gone, but the writing stayed.
What drives him is the German language. Not as a tool, but as material. He likes building sentences where every word sits in the right place. Finding a rhythm that carries. Playing with language deliberately, saying things differently than expected. His writing moves between poetry, short prose, and longer narratives.
He runs Xalor together with family. He writes, he codes, he takes care of everything involving servers and deployments. Kubernetes by day, poems by night. It fits together better than it sounds.
